Hollow body holds are one of my all time favourite tools for teaching people how to control their abs and get a stronger core. In my opinion, mastering this position is crucial to more advanced ab/core exercises (think: deadbug, ab roller, toe to bar, L-sit) and should be one of the very first steps you take in effective core training progressions. The skills you learn in the hollow body hold also transfer over to complex movements like squatting, deadlifting, lunging and more.
